PVD Decorative Coating
ESSVEE is a PVD coating company applying decorative PVD coating to stainless steel. One process, six finishes, done under one roof.
We are a coating workshop, not a fabricator who also owns a chamber. Parts arrive, they are cleaned, they go into the vacuum chamber, and they come back with a finish that is bonded to the metal rather than laid on top of it.
That focus is deliberate. Getting a consistent colour off the line, batch after batch, takes a workshop set up around the one process. It is why we can guarantee the coating against abrasion for the life of the piece.
Alongside the coating we also handle furniture work, fabrication and laser cutting, so a piece can be made and finished without moving between suppliers.
Consistency, mostly. Any PVD coating company can produce one good gold panel. The difficulty is producing the four hundredth panel in the same gold, so that a partition installed in March matches the one installed in September.
That comes down to unglamorous things. How thoroughly parts are cleaned before they go in. How they are jigged so every face sees the vapour evenly. Whether the chamber is run to a schedule or run until something looks wrong. We would rather send a batch back through than send it out and have it noticed on site.
It is also why we prepare a sample on your own material before a batch. Stainless steel from two suppliers can take the same coating slightly differently, and it is better to find that out on one piece than on the whole order.
A few things worth knowing before you send a first job across.
Yes, and with interior designers, fabricators and furniture manufacturers. Specifiers usually come to us with a finish reference and a deadline; fabricators usually come with a part and a question about whether it will survive.
We do. A single railing or a single screen is welcome, and it is often how a longer relationship starts. Pricing per piece is naturally higher than for a batch.
