Decorative PVD coating in Bangalore, on stainless steel. A metal layer bonded inside a vacuum chamber, harder than plating and guaranteed for life.

Gold that will not tarnish. Black that will not chip.

What PVD coating actually is.

PVD stands for Physical Vapour Deposition. The part goes into a sealed chamber, the air is pumped out, and a solid metal such as titanium or zirconium is vaporised and driven onto the steel surface.

The colour is not paint and it is not a plated layer sitting on top. It bonds to the steel itself, a few microns thick, which is why it does not peel, flake or wash off.

Gold that stays gold, years after it is installed.

Partitions, railings, furniture frames and architectural detail, PVD coated at our workshop in Peenya, Bangalore.

Why PVD, over plating and powder coating.

All three put colour on stainless steel. They stop behaving the same way once the piece is installed and people start touching it.

Scratch resistance

PVD is bonded a few microns into the surface. Electroplating sits on top of the steel and wears through first at the points people actually touch.

Tarnishing

Gold and brass PVD hold their colour. Electroplated brass dulls as the copper underneath oxidises, which is why old handles go patchy.

Colour in sunlight

PVD stays stable in daylight. Powder coating can chalk and shift over a few seasons outdoors, particularly in the lighter shades.

Detail and edges

A few microns keeps laser cut detail crisp. Powder coating is thick enough to soften a sharp edge and fill fine perforation.

Six finishes, one chamber.

Every finish is applied to stainless steel at our workshop in Peenya. We can prepare a sample on your own material before you commit to a batch.

Why send your PVD coating work to ESSVEE.

Guaranteed for life

The coating is guaranteed against abrasion for the life of the piece. A guarantee like that is only worth offering if the process is right every time.

One process, done properly

We coat. We are not a fabricator who happens to own a chamber. The workshop is built around a consistent finish off the line.

Samples before the batch

You see the finish on your own material before committing. Colour on a swatch and colour on your part are not always the same thing.
